It's nice to live in a country where tornadoes, typhoons, earthquakes, tsunamis and volcano eruptions don't happen. Philippines... don't really have that luxury. The multi-island nation is frequently ravaged by horrible typhoons and it's not safe from other forms of nature's wrath. Currently, Mayon, the Philippines' most active volcano, spewing ash and lava. The eruption started gently, but scientists warn that the situation can turn explosive.
The volcano is roughly 200 miles (340 kilometers) southeast of Manila, the capital. The eruption has sent 56,000 villagers fleeing to evacuation centers.
