Not all kitties get happy homes. But a kitty now known as Nika finally did that on her most difficult day. Last winter, Slava, a Russian man, saw something on the road while he was driving his car. “I thought it was an animal and it must be freezing in this weather,” Slava told the press. Nobody else was interested, so Slava checked the object out - and it turned out to be a frozen kitty.
“It was very cold, so I wrapped her up in a towel and brought her back to my car. I turned up the heat to full capacity to help remove the frost on her coat,” said Slava. He took the cat back home, where she was treated with warm blankets, a radiator and a lamp. Nika was later taken to the vet to amputate her frostbitten tail. “She knew that we were trying to help. She was patient, did not complain and was very sweet the whole time," said Slava, Nika's proud new owner.
