This Man Lives As A Domesticated Life

Tom Peters, 32, isn't a furry. Going by the name of "Spot," he's trying to live his life as a dog. He even has a dog costume, and tries to live like a dog: sleeping in a cage, walking on all fours, eating doggy treats from a bowl. He earns money for his treats by working as a lighting and theater technician.

“People think of it as seedy and that no one should see it,” Tom said. “But we’re not there to cause mischief, we’re there to have fun and literally be treated like a puppy. It’s not a sexual thing. It is a lifestyle, it’s just escapism. To get away from money and the hectic lifestyle we have.”

However, Tom didn't shy away from some other implications. “Because you relax and unwind, you could start from being a puppy and lead onto something in the bedroom,” said.

Meanwhile, as a dog, he has a human companion: his ex-fiance Rachel Watson. Rachel confessed that they couple called off the engagement back in 2008 due to Tom’s bizarre lifestyle and they now just “best friends”.

However, she says that they're closer now than when they were engaged. Tom helped her understand a lot more about him and why he does what he does.

And as Tom says, "We do roleplay as a child, so why can’t we do it as an adult?”
