Rademenes was just a two-month-old kitten when he fell so sick he had to be isolated. But when he was adopted by a veterinarian, this black cat became the resident nurse, administering hugs and cuddles to other animals at the shelter in Bydgoszcz, northern Poland. The kitty came to the shelter in October, when he had caught a respiratory tract infection so severe the owner considered him beyond help. Veterinarian Lucyna Kuziel-Zawalich nursed him to health and adopted him as the member of the staff.
Now, Rademenes hugs every pet in the shelter. He goes to the newcomers to give them support and is very supportive after an animal undergoes surgery. Rademenes can be seen keeping a kitty with a drip feed warm or spooning to a husky dog. The cat is said to even lick the ears of other strays.
